I was surprised when I first read the original because I thought the reasoning was uncharacteristically bad (Huemer is a great philosopher and usually has strong arguments, but all the arguments against time travel were weak). I was planning to write a response at some point, but most of the things I was going to say are covered here already. I will probably still write it eventually because I think it's a fun topic, but I will be sure to link to this article if/when I do.
